We recently made some changes to our Discord server. Here’s a small summary of what changed.
Suggestions
Suggestions have a new home! Instead of tracking new ideas in the #suggestions channel, we are now using our forum to collect feature requests. We made this step because the forum has several advantages over the Discord channel:
- Suggestions can be sorted by popularity (upvotes)
- Suggestions can be tagged by us to show their status
- Our team can properly respond to suggestions
- The community can discuss suggestions in a more organized way
The only drawback is that it’s now not as easy to make a new suggestion as it was before since you need to visit the forum and open a new thread. But we strongly believe that the advantages of the forum outweigh this drawback by a long shot.
Voice Chats
Our Discord server now has voice chats! You can talk to your friends or listen to music together. Many members have requested this before, and finally, we made it happen. We hope you enjoy it!
New Bots
We have two new bots – Dank Memer and Rythm.
Dank Memer is a bot that can post tons of different memes. It can only be used in the #memes channel. Simply write pls meme and the bot will post a random meme! You can also check out his other features by writing pls help.
Rythm is a music bot that can play music from YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch, Vimeo, and Mixer. In order to use it, simply join the #voice-music channel and then write $play <some song> in the #voice-commands channel. Everyone in the #voice-music channel will hear the songs that Rythm is playing, and all users can add new songs to the queue.
As always, stay tuned for more awesome updates!
